Summarize The Premise for Process – Take this Quiz

It’s been awhile since we have simply considered Future Schools.

We haven’t lost the way exactly. More nearly, we took the time to examine how instruction and curricula may need to be redesigned so that these will both drive and reflect the collective missions of any such Future School.

So we move on, but before moving on I think it’s important to recapture the premise of process approaches to instruction.

ONE MEANING “NOT SURE”

Now there are several ways to score this. Let’s take a simple approach first:

For NUMBER ONE, if you scored a SIX give yourself a “2”.

FOR NUMBER TWO, if you scored a SIX give yourself a “3”.

FOR NUMBER THREE, if you scored a SIX, give yourself a a “4”

FOR NUMBER FOUR, if you scored a SIX, give yourself a “5”.

FOR NUMBER FIVE, if you scored a SIX, give yourself a “2”.

FOR NUMBER SIX, if you scored a SIX, give yourself a “6”.

FOR NUMBER SEVEN, if you scored a SIX, give yourself a “2”.

For NUMBER EIGHT, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “4”.

FOR NUMBER NINE, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “6”

FOR NUMBER TEN, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “3”.

FOR NUMBER ELEVEN, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “6”.

FOR NUMBER TWELVE, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “5”

FOR NUMBER THIRTEEN if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “4”

FOR NUMBER FOURTEEN, if you scored a SIX, Give yourself a “2”.

FOR NUMBER FIFTEEN, if you scored a SIX, GIve yourself a “5”.

Then divide your total by 15.

In the end I think it’s fairly obvious:

– if you scored in the 2 range you see school’s main purpose as Economic Preparation.

– If you scored in the 3 range  you see school’s main purpose as  Basic Education.

– If you scored in the 4 range you see school’s main purpose as Socialization.

– If you scored in the 5 range you see school’s main purpose as Preparing Critical Thinkers’

– If you scored in the 6 range you see school’s main purpose as Preparing Citizens

– if you scored in the 1 range you don’t know what school’s main purpose should be.

What did you score? I’ll speak to each in succeeding posts but will guess that the majority of you are One’s. And that’s because ….
